So I been thinking about it, and I think I may try the approach of making a big game, and releasing updates early to people on patreon. That would be a nice reward for people on patreon(which I do have and greatly appricate those who support me, even though I don’t actively use it much!). My patreon has never been that big since I don’t use it that often and don’t push it much, so that is my fault. So I should give that more of a try and try to push it more actively, and then people can get the reward of early updates for it.
If that doesn’t work well, then for the next big game, I can just try selling it. Though at least I will have a really big game, that everyone can look at, to get an idea of what sort of game I am trying to sell. I will still also work on smaller games and updating other games on the side as well.
For the big game I will work on, I have not decided what to go with. However, I sort of feel like I want go with more of a ‘gamey’ type game than a choose your adventure type one. So like a character that has stats and equipment and the like. I will work out some ideas in the next couple of weeks.
I just hope that you will create Boosty account too, that will help to accomulate more credits from different countries. 🙂
Hello. I have an idea. You can for the big game you already have, I’m talking about “Into the Dungeon” now. You can order, buy, generate images for it. And make the image version available only to Patreon subscribers. And do you plan to do visual novels?
I thought about stuff like that. Buying images is probably too expensive though, since a mage would have tons of images in it. Though I have thought about collaborations for that sort of thing, if there are people who want to make images.
I can make you images totally free of charge. Just ask for what you want, and I’ll make it.
Btw lily, I’ve got serious OCD, so I can’t help but notice a few grammar errors here and there, so I’m willing to help you fix those before you post. It’s usually about 4-5 per game, so most people don’t notice, so it doesn’t really matter.
Seeing you take on the challenge of a larger game is something I’d be more than happy to fund through Patreon, since you are my top 5 TF smut writers after all.
Your stories get all the better *because* they include interactive choices, and the more impactful and long-lasting the consequent changes are, the hotter the games become.
Personally I would love to see a larger, fleshed out version of your Into the Dungeon! game, with interesting/exciting/humiliating TFs, equipment and stats that all change the way you play and look at your character. But something completely new and different would be very exciting too!
I don’t really think your game needs to have a lot of imagery if it means paying a fortune or putting in extra work, when your writing alone already paints very vivid, juicy pictures in my head. (And I can’t be the only one that feels that way.)
Though perhaps it could work to use a cheap AI to mass generate all the different character models you should need? I don’t think that would subtract more than it’d add to an otherwise text-based game, the algorithms rapidly increase in quality, and I see other people use AI for their niche fetish needs that not enough real people are able to draw well yet.
Either way you have my monthly support – I wouldn’t want my fav writer to struggle financially!
Take care, and do allow yourself to make the game at your own pace!
Oh, and I really hope more people will end up giving you feedback to whichever project you settle on. Direct feedback as you post every new update is so important for realizing what you’re doing right and wrong, subjectively speaking of course. But you probably know this already. I just hope more people will help you out playtesting from here on. I’ll try my best too.
