So today I was brainstorming different ideas for the short stories in the contest game. I wanted to get more done but I wasn’t sure where to take those side stories, and I still got to do several of them. I did get work done braining storming though so I can try to keep making progress tomorrow.

So got the first release of the game. It has the first three short stories. I didn’t really get a chance to polish it up as much as I wanted but will do before the final release.

The plan is to keep adding a bunch more stories and while also continuing on the story about the main character who is the storyteller.

So tomorrow I want to put some update up for the contest game. I probably wont post it on the tfgamesite yet but I will post it on here if people want to try it out early. It isn’t going to be that big of a game yet but you will sort of get a feel for what I am going with. By the time the contest arrives, I plan for it to be much bigger.

So the plan to binge work on the game all day long had mix results. I wasn’t able to work on the game all day long. However, I was able to make decent progress. Maybe it will help in the future, if I am not getting much done or stuck on something to try to binge writ then to get forward momentum going, even if it isn’t all day it still more than normal days some time.

On a side note, today I got no spam. That is like the first time ever I didn’t get spam on here(though it has been a lot lower recently after I kept getting better and better at filtering the spam). I didn’t make any new changes but it seems all of it was caught today.

So tomorrow, I want to try to do a binge writing session to see if I can get a ton done on the contest game, all at once. I mentioned before how doing a lot of work all at once is my strength, though usually it isn’t something that I plan out that much. I want to test it, to see how it works if I just make a plan and try to get a ton done all at once though.

So I was looking at the contest entries so far for the tfgamesite. It doesn’t seem to be too many, only 3 and they seem pretty early. I wonder if there will be a surge of games as we get closer, or if there will not be too many. The tfgamesite contests seem to be mixed. Some times we get a lot, some times not as many. There was a lot of posts interested in the contest though.

Even though more people entering means more competition I like that better, since it means a lot more if you win against a lot of people, than if you win just against a couple, and of course I want to win!

Just on a side note, I noticed there are a lot of fun games(on pc in general) that came out this month, or coming out next month. Seems like the time of year there is lots of new stuff. Not that I have time to really play most of them. Actually I don’t even have time to play the games I already got. I am a gamer though, so can’t help looking at them.

Well I was able to get some momentum back today and get some stuff done, though I am still a bit behind. There is a limited time before the contest entry is due, so I need to make sure to get caught up and move forward. On the bright side, each of the substories are a little longer than I first expected, so there is more depth to each section and that is part of way it is taking a bit longer.

My sick nephew came over and was here all day long bothering me so I couldn’t get anything at all done, and also probably getting me sick. Not sure why his parents are sending him over here! Well I sort of do, since I am so cool he likes hanging out with me, and they probably thought it would make him feel better. And while I am nice and helped out, it would be nice if they took some consideration for my health and not send someone sick over here.

Also I wasn’t sure if I would get the update today, but definitely not now since that messed up my entire day.

I am not sure if I will be ready for the first release tomorrow or not. I am getting more worried about falling behind on my schedule for the contest. Though I do plan on getting a lot done tomorrow, and working through Sunday instead of taking a break as well.

Maybe I should embrace more of my natural work flow, which is doing large burst of a ton of work all at once. Often times while not getting much done for a while before getting a ton done all at once. Though I feel like if I embrace that I put too much time between the big bursts of work, which is why I want to try to get some work done everyday.
