Daily posts

I am not sure if daily posts are really helping or not, and some time it is hard to make a post every day. Though I do think it is a good habit to do something everyday. Even if you don’t get results from it at first glance, long term it can be helpful.

Day 4

I got most of it done, though some things came up so didn’t get it completely finished. I wonder how many other people are introverts? I wish my family understood what that is like. Even if I don’t mind hanging out with family and stuff, having them come over to hang out is very distracting and kind of drains your energy for the rest of the day. Especially if they don’t know when to leave. My nephew sleeps over like one day every week too. He is a kid and I feel like his parents don’t hang out with him enough either, so I don’t really want to tell him to get lost. I am definitely way too nice to ever say that, and honestly I don’t hate kids or anything. It is really draining though.

Day 4

I am almost finished with day 4 on my recent game. I want to try to finish that tomorrow and get things going so I can get closer to the first release of the game. At the moment I have nothing planned for tomorrow, so hopefully I can get a lot of work done.

Getting distracted is good some times

So some times I get distracted and I don’t get much done in moving forward on whatever game project I am working on. I do feel like I would get more games done a lot faster if I could avoid getting distracted some times.

You could definitely say getting distracted is a bad thing because of that, though there is some positives as well. When I get distracted it is usually because I am writing stuff for some other random game and some times even just writing random sex scenes and stuff. Or I am thinking about random story ideas. So these type of distractions can be considered practice, and improve my skills and writing and making games.

Of course I do some times get distracted by completely pointless stuff, such as life is at times. Though at least some of the time the distractions are still useful. Even if no one will ever see the 100’s of partial games I worked on, it is still good practice for the stuff I do release.

On a related note. I have recently considered if it would be interesting to make a dream based game, where I just use all these random scenes for the dreams, since dreams can be pretty random and weird.

Kinky games

So the big game I am currently working on will have some sex, but it has a lot less than I normally have in many of my games. Which is a lot for many of them, since they are super naughty. I kind of wonder how much of an impact having less sex in the game will have, though I kind of feel that having a lot more options to explore doing girly choices and also having more options to control what your character does will make it a fun game even if there is a less sex. And also the sex in it will hopefully have more of an impact, because you have to wait and make connections with other characters instead of just sexing up everyone. Well at least those are my thoughts at the moment, will see how things go. I actually had to resist a little to stop myself from making a super slutty path through the game. Though that might still be an option in the end, I wanted to make the game good enough that you can still have fun without taking the slut path.

Release plan

So I was thinking I might release the game I am currently working on before it is finished, so I can get feedback and stuff on it. Currently I am working on day 4, so maybe I will finish up to day 6 then release it. I actually planned out this game really well from the start, so I know the exact length. It goes to day 14. So that would be a little less than the half way point of the game.

Just going by file size, Bully of Greenfield High, is a 111kb twine file while for Kawaii day 1-3(and a bit of day 4) is 309kb. So at the current rate, I think up to day 6 will be around 5 time longer than Bully of Greenfield High(just estimate based off file size). So that would be a decent amount of content.

Well that is just a rough estimate, since some days involve a lot more stuff than others. I also plan to add more stuff to each day later on, though my main goal is to have the main story go all the way to the end and not get too distracted with side stuff at the start. Because making it to the end can be difficult if you have to many side stories. So I want to get all the way to the end before going to far off the tracks with adding side content. I also learned my lesson from past games, and every day of the game is it’s own twine file, so I can keep everything organized.

Spam

So hopefully this is the last update on this topic. It seems without registering spam is a little higher than before, however it is at a reasonable level. I keep adding words to the blacklist and hopefully it will keep reducing as well.

Comments

Okay, I am going to try removing the requirement to register to make comments, but leave the blacklisted words to hopefully block the spam posts. Some people said there was some issue with registering. I will try to work that out if I am still getting spammed but for now, I will try to leave comments open to everyone.

When to release game?

I been wondering how long I should wait to release a game. Ideally I want to release a game when it is complete, though for games that make take awhile, it could be a long time before I release if it I do that. Which means I am not releasing stuff very often. So I am thinking of releasing my next game soon, before I finish it but not sure when. I do plan to stick with updating the same game and not dropping it though.
