So I am up pretty late tonight. I stand to stay up pretty late usually. When I do wake up earlier and get to work early in the morning I do feel like I am a bit more productive but also it is a lot harder to actually start working early in the morning since I am not really a morning person at all.
So I fixed the ant problems I mentioned the other day. I was a bit reluctant to spray poison in my bedroom, but that is what I did and it got rid of them and they have not come back. Well I just sprayed the window where I thought they were coming in.
So no update today as things are still a bit of a mess. I will probably finish up the path leading to the endings tomorrow. My original plan was to spend next week finishing all the endings and the week after cleaning things up but now I am considering splitting that up. Spending half the week working on endings and half cleaning stuff up. Then next week do the same.
The reason I was thinking of doing that, is because it is a pretty naughty game and the endings all have kinky sex scenes, so just doing a ton of those in a row is a bit tiring. So I was thinking if I need a break, I can put that on hold and work on cleaning up and doing spell checks and stuff for earlier parts.
On a completely unrelated note that has nothing to do with games, I keep seeing random ants on my desk. I keep seeing like one ant wander around, then like an hour later another ant wanders by. Pretty sure they wandered in through a tiny crack next to the window. I tried washing the area and I saw online they don’t like baking soda so I tried using that to fill in the tiny crack. Didn’t really work though, since eventually they find their way back.
Lately I been feeling like I don’t get as much during the week, but I get a lot more done during the weekends. Which is probably good that I stopped taking Sundays off and work on stuff then too. Since I feel like that is usually a pretty productive day.
We have just about a month before the tfgame contest will have the voting and what not. I wonder if anyone else is planning to join? There seems to be some people on the forum who made posts, including one person who seems to have a lot of nice pictures and stuff for their game.
I got lots of endings to write. I didn’t make much progress today and Tuesdays seem like a bad day for me most week but plan to get a few more of the endings done this week, then probably switch back to the substories to finish that off, then finish working on all the endings next week.
Hopefully having a ton of different endings and making them all unique, will give me an edge in the contest. Since I know having choices leading to different endings is something people really like. Games some time feel lacking, even if they are really fun, if they end up at the same place no matter what you do.
Since I have the extra time, I was thinking of spending an extra week working on the endings for the game. So instead of having the mostly final game finished this week, I will have it done next week. That will let me have a week for the last quarter of the side stories, then another week solely for endings. Then I would have another week for bug fixes and spell checking. Then two full weeks for getting player feedback and polishing things up the best I can.
So I wanted to try to get the game finished, at least the first pass of it by the end of this week. Though maybe that is going to be a lot of work. So it is 16 endings, which I can do no problem but also have all the substories before. I wasn’t thinking about those as much. Well I still want to try to get it all done this week but it will be a bunch of work.
So got the update to the third interlude, the next update will go to the end of the game and have all the endings ready. If anyone reaches the end of the game and doesn’t see the ending message, let me know since that is a bug.
There are 8 branches at the end, though two of them have the same result, since it sort of makes sense(they are if you lose to Meshia or Selena but resist the other then resist again at the third interlude). They will have their own endings though, they just share that one part.
