I really need to get all the proofreading done and fix all the typos and stuff, though it is such a pain. Seems like there is always more stuff to check! I am going to try to see if I can finish it tomorrow.

So the solution I came up a while back really has worked. I have not had a single spam in like a week, when I was getting like a dozen or so spam messages a day. I just wish I realized I could fix it sooner, since I wasted so much time getting rid of those messages before.

We got a week until Halloween. Which means the end of the tfgamesite contest, but also Halloween itself is pretty fun. I am probably not going to be doing anything too special for it though, except playing some scary games with friends(Like phasmophobia).

So the reason I don’t usually do proof reading, at least down to a line by line edit, is because I feel I am fairly good at writing and it isn’t worth the effort. I do some proof reading and I go over my stuff as I am testing things and writing it, but going in and reading each thing line by line to fixing minor mistakes is something I often don’t do. If I was charging money for the writing, then I would. I feel if that is part of it if you want a professional quality.

I do try to be professional about stuff though. It is just, spending a long time editing everything is boring and takes forever and often times people just want extra sex scenes and stuff if you are putting in that effort. I am going over the contest game more carefully than normal, since I want a highly polished game! I am hoping in this case it is worth the effort because it is a pain in the butt.

It seems like a lot of new games are coming out for the tfgames contest now. It was a bit slow now but it looks like there will be a lot of competition as the deadline comes up.

So when I put up the contest game, someone complained about something and it gave me a great idea. The one to add the stuff to the sidebar, I think that really improves the game and solves one of the things I was worried about. However, since then there hasn’t been that much feedback on the game. So there isn’t much to go on as far as improving things. Well I can still tweak things on my on and still doing some spellchecks and stuff, though I was hoping to get more feedback.

I am feeling much better today, after resting. Actually I was feeling much better later in the day yesterday, though kind of had a headache all night. I am feeling fine now.

Also, I figured out a solution for my spam problem. I put www and http on the list of banned stuff and now all the spam can gets thrown in the trash since all have shady links in them(usually set as their email address to try and hide them).

Feeling a little sick today, nothing too serious but probably going to take the day off and just relax a bit.

I did a quick update where I added some extra information to the side bar. It now tells you how many ‘points’ you are gaining in the current section of the game and also tells you what major event you had in the prior section. This is to make it easier to know what the choices are doing.

So I got the final beta version of the game up! I am still polishing it up but I am hoping for feedback. There is a discussion on the tfgamesite where the contest is taking place.
