Hmm

So while I was taking a break for the Holidays I was working on stuff, but it was mostly random Christmas type games, rather than the projects I need to finish. Like the big game I did for national writing month. Which on a side note, apparently there was a big controversy on the website for the group that does it, and I didn’t even notice later, and now the website is basically dead. I wonder if anything will happen with it this year.

Anyway, now I am back on that project I worked on and I still need to organize it all and fill in some gaps. After taking a break from it, it looks like even a bigger mess than I remembered.

Meh

I am sick again, last time it was like coughing and running nose, this time it is like stomach bug. I blame my sister’s kids, who are over here a lot during Winter break. They distract me by being over here a bunch, then they also get me sick too. Some times it sucks being the cool adult, that kids want to play with.

This month

I plan on taking a bit time off this month, though I still want to work and stuff and get the project I was doing last month finished. Since it is pretty big just size wise it is worth trying to finish up I think. Plus it is a pretty interesting concept. I wont be working on it every single day, like I was last month however but I hope to get it finished this month.

Hmm

So I organized the game a bit and realize I have an issue, with how to group the scenes. So for example, I have a scene where you get tied up in a certain way, and there is like a dozen versions of how that scene can play out. Which I like. Though not all the scenes are that detailed, and I wonder if I have that many versions will a player even see most of them?

I noticed a lot depends on how I group them though. Like the above scene where all different versions of being tied up, but there is other tied up scenes too. So I could group them all together and say, if player is naughty, do a random tied up scene. I kind of got the scenes loosely grouped, but I have not decided the final grouping yet, if I want the scenes to be really random, or make it more likely that people see specific scenes.

Like for example, I could have scenes grouped by like, ‘when the player first arrives’, ‘when the player is mid way through’, ‘when they are broken’. In that case, don’t need as many random scenes, since you would just see a few from each group as you progress. Though I was considering, that I might group each scenes multiple ways. Such as, you are tied up and spanked by randomly be picked if you are naughty, but also might be picked when you first arrive to get you started in your training to get basic discipline.

I have not reached the 50k words goal yet for the challenge, but I was thinking I might focus on organizing the game I was working on, since it is a huge mess now. That will still include some writing to round off scenes and do the joining scenes, but it might not be as much in just pure number of words.
