So I had a good break, I played a bunch of battle brothers which I got for myself for Christmas(No reason to wait until Christmas day). This week I want to get A lot done with Kawaii. Kawaii is the one large game I am working on with a clear ending in sight, so I need to knock that out, so I can work on the other games that I am not quite sure where I am ending them.

Kawaii is also a bit newer game, where I learned a lot from doing other ones. The big reason I wanted to wrap up all my old games, was so that I could start a new game using all the stuff I have learned without having any extra baggage of working on other stuff and being distracted.

So I had some really good idea for a Christmas game and I worked on it some. However, the ideas I came up with would really work well for a longer game and I am trying not to get totally side tracked with this. So I might have to drop the Christmas game, or come up with a smaller scale simpler version, and save my bigger plans for another time.

So was taking the day off, which is good since I was kind of busy. I did think a little about a Christmas game that I might work on a little as long as it doesn’t distract me from my other games. I did think of a mechanic I wanted to use to make the game more game like than just a typical choose your adventure style game, though it isn’t that complex as one either, as that would take a lot of time.

I feel like I not been getting too much done lately, because of distractions but also kind not feeling the motivation too. I am going to take this weekend off and just sort things out and relax so I can reset then hopefully dive into really getting stuff done again at the start of next week. Maybe during the time off I will do a Christmas game, since some times I get more energy off doing random side projects. Hopefully I can get rid of some stress and focus my mind, then Monday I can really get into tackling the other games.

I know I probably shouldn’t be thinking about it, since I don’t have that much time but I am wondering if I should make a Christmas game? If I keep it really really short, then I can do it fast and it wouldn’t get in the way of finishing anything else.
