Usually Monday and Tuesdays are bit of slows days for me, but I want to try to get a lot of work tomorrow and the next day. Still have a bit of work to do but I really want to try to get everything finished up with the contest game this week, so that I have some time to do testing and get feedback.

So I been thinking about writing in general lately, and writing a book specifically. Part of that is because November is national novel writing month and that is coming up. I feel like in some ways doing other writing can be distracting, because it is time I could use working on games but also I feel it is productive in improving my overall writing skill. Also, even if I want to spend all day working on my games, some times I can’t and working on other stuff is helpful. Some times it can even be motivating and then gets me working on the games more.

Some times the distractions I get are real life stuff and family things and in those cases there is less time but often times when I don’t get much done it is just because I feel frazzled and lack focus. So some times taking a break and writing something else helps with those times, where the problem isn’t the amount of time but lack of focus. Since it is still writing, it keeps me in the mindset of writing, so I don’t just go off and play games and then nothing productive happens at all.

I feel like I am a little behind where I wanted to be, since I didn’t get a ton done this week. Though I still have plenty of time to get things done. I will probably have an update next week, with the finished game and everything spell checked and what not. At that point, it should just be a matter of tweaking things here and there.

I wonder if anyone has any special plans for Halloween? I am an introvert so things like halloween parties and stuff isn’t really my thing. I will probably be doing something like playing Phasmophobia(a ghost hunting game). That is actually a pretty fun game and there is supposed to be an cool update for it around Halloween.

I kind of wanted to make a short halloween game but I got too much stuff to do, so I been resisting the urge to get distracted with that sort of thing.

So I am up pretty late tonight. I stand to stay up pretty late usually. When I do wake up earlier and get to work early in the morning I do feel like I am a bit more productive but also it is a lot harder to actually start working early in the morning since I am not really a morning person at all.

So I fixed the ant problems I mentioned the other day. I was a bit reluctant to spray poison in my bedroom, but that is what I did and it got rid of them and they have not come back. Well I just sprayed the window where I thought they were coming in.

So no update today as things are still a bit of a mess. I will probably finish up the path leading to the endings tomorrow. My original plan was to spend next week finishing all the endings and the week after cleaning things up but now I am considering splitting that up. Spending half the week working on endings and half cleaning stuff up. Then next week do the same.

The reason I was thinking of doing that, is because it is a pretty naughty game and the endings all have kinky sex scenes, so just doing a ton of those in a row is a bit tiring. So I was thinking if I need a break, I can put that on hold and work on cleaning up and doing spell checks and stuff for earlier parts.

On a completely unrelated note that has nothing to do with games, I keep seeing random ants on my desk. I keep seeing like one ant wander around, then like an hour later another ant wanders by. Pretty sure they wandered in through a tiny crack next to the window. I tried washing the area and I saw online they don’t like baking soda so I tried using that to fill in the tiny crack. Didn’t really work though, since eventually they find their way back.

Lately I been feeling like I don’t get as much during the week, but I get a lot more done during the weekends. Which is probably good that I stopped taking Sundays off and work on stuff then too. Since I feel like that is usually a pretty productive day.
