Took today off from working on anything since I had to go to the dentist and had some stuff to do. I have not been paying close attention to the word count for my contest game, but using the using the proof copy(which for some reason was never correct with my other game were I was keeping specific track of words counted) puts it at about 20k words. So that is good progress.

After I finish this game, next month I will finish up the stuff I was doing on Christmas(including that goblin game that didn’t make much sense for a Christmas game).

I am making good progress with the mermaid game for the contest. I actually have the first path almost to the end and I am wondering if I should stretch it a little further or not. I have time to make it longer, but I am also plan to make large branching paths in the game, and that would be easier if I don’t get crazy with the length.

The contest theme is competition, and my game is about mermaid sumo. What is mermaid sumo? It is when you put a circle on the surface of the water and two mermaids pop up out of the surface and sumo fight. The first one to knock the other out of the circle or dunk the other’s head under the water wins.

I forgot about the contest. I been thinking about what game I should work on this but then noticed the contest ends at the end of the month, so if I work all month on that, I can get it done. I am going to use the approach I used for national novel writing month, and aim for 2k words a day, so the game should have a decent amount of content even if I only work on it for a month.

I will be having a lot more updates and more games starting next month.

I knew I wouldn’t get too much done lately because of the Holidays and that is true, I have not gotten too much done. Luckily I decided to mostly take time off and just relax during the time. Mostly it is family stuff that is distracting.

Still kind of just relaxing and taking it easy for the Holiday, though trying different games from Christmas. Still not sure what to do for it, though I have a few short games started, that I could finish.

I might make it a different game for the christmas game, since the goblin game kind of turned a dark turn. It is short, so will probably still just release it this month, but I also want something more light hearted for christmas.

Since I am taking it easy on the holidays, I decide to work on a fun little game I just had an idea for early today. It is going to be a short game, about a world where goblins turn elf girls into goblins to reproduce and as a female elf you need to try to avoid that! It is kind of a silly little game, with a lot of kinky fun, so it should be good for the holidays.
